About Archetypes
Archetypes are aspects of human personality. When an archetype is ignored or forgotten, you cannot access certain qualities that would otherwise enable you to avoid conflicts and challenges. Whenever you experience a conflict, challenge or disappointment, it’s because a conscious part of your personality is preventing an unconscious part of your personality from being expressed.
When parts of your personality are not expressed, they are repressed. Repression keeps you trapped in habitual patterns and can have a negative influence on how you feel and your relationships.
If you want to make changes in your life, you have to develop learned behaviours that have not previously been expressed.
